THE MOST HOLY LIFE. (LIVING BEYOND CORRUPTION)
The tabernacle of testimony in the old covenant is a perfect picture of how we are to make progress in our eternal journey with God. The outer court, Holy place and Most Holy place represent the different levels and depths in our relationship and communion with God. The outer court contain the altar of burnt offering and the laver of water; here the blood of animals are shed, after which the priest washes himself in the laver of water. This is a type and figure of the new birth, the Spirit of God works in the blood of Jesus Christ and the water of baptism to birth men into God’s kingdom.
John the beloved described this salvation experience in 1John 5:6; this is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. He further said in verse 8; and there are three that bear witness (to the new birth) in the earth, the Spirit and the water and the blood: and these three agree in one. Jesus Christ also said in John 3:5 Except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. When a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he is born into the outer court of God’s kingdom; this is not the destination of God for man. Being born of water and of the Spirit is the beginning of salvation, our salvation is complete when the soul and body is delivered from the power of sin and death.
In the outer court, a believer can demonstrate the gift of the Spirit, lay hold of God’s word, and experience a measure of anointing and power. Unfortunately many have built ministries and cathedrals with the outer court anointing; they assume that the manifestation of the gift of the Spirit is a confirmation that they have reached the end. Its true that in the outer court, God expect us to be grounded and rooted in His word; but that is not the ultimate end, We are to grow beyond the outer court and move into the Holy place where we will experience a greater measure of grace and depth in God. Paul in his epistle admonished us to leave the elementary things about Christ and proceed unto perfection. Heb 6:1-2. The elementary things of Christ are the outer court spiritual experiences which cannot bring men into perfection. Perfection awaits us in the Most Holy place. From the outer court we move into the Holy place where God prepares us to enter into His Most Holy Place.
The Holy place contains the table of shewbread, altar of incense and the candlestick; it’s a deeper experience than the outer court; every content in the Holy place speaks communion with Christ. The outer court is a place of relationship with the Spirit, while the Holy place is a place of communion with Christ; its where to absorb and assimilate the substance of Christ into the soul. Every change and transformation begins here; Sanctification, Purification, Circumcision, Cleansing, Purging, Pruning is experienced in the Holy place. God prepares men to enter into the Holiest of all in the Holy place and this is why every encounter here is a living experience that changes and transforms the nature of man in reality. Its not where to confess Christ and His promises but a place to experience and realize the cross of Jesus Christ in truth. The cross of Jesus Christ will pierce through every soul in the Holy place and destroy every work of self and flesh therein.
Every work of man dies in the Holy place, every business and jobs not inspired by God dies in the Holy place, every mindset and mentality inherited from the fall of man dies in the Holy place, every ministry built by self to gratify self dies there; this idea of using God to start a ministry, and then use the ministry to build a name for ourselves, meet our earthly needs and gratify our ego and pride dies in the Holy place. The death and burial process of man must be complete here before the resurrection life of Jesus Christ comes upon the man to move him into the Most Holy place. Lets carefully consider the items in the Holy place.
a. Table of shew bread: Leviticus 24:5-9 Jesus Christ said in John 6:51, I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Jesus Christ the crucified one is the living bread every man must eat to have eternal life; the purpose of the cross is to destroy every element of sin, self and death in the soul and body of man. We feed on Christ by consciously taking in the crucified life of Jesus Christ into our soul and body. This process destroys the body of sin and delivers the soul from the fallen nature, the shew bread in the Holy place is Christ the bread of life and this living bread is meant to be eaten. One of the indispensable criteria of gaining access into the Holiest of all is to eat Christ the bread of life. But how does a man feed on Christ? By abiding in His death; the Glory of God is hidden in what men fear and hate the most, which is death. How Jesus Christ died and was buried is God’s blue print for our own death and burial. In Phil 2:5-8; we are admonished to have the same mind which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; but made Himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Jesus Christ had equal power and Glory with God, yet He made himself nothing by dying to his reputation, He did not only died to his reputation, but accepted and embraced every situation God allowed to come His way. When He was reviled and insulted, He did not retaliate but said nothing, when He suffered and was abused, He made no threat of vengeance, when He was slapped and spat upon, He stayed calm, when He was mocked and humiliated, He had joy within him, when He was stripped naked, He was not ashamed, when He was crowned with thorns, He was full of love, when He carried His cross, He was peaceful and when He was nailed to the cross, He prayed sincerely; Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing. Jesus Christ saw the pain, shame and sorrow as the process God had ordained and programmed from eternity past to redeem men from the power of sin and death. He went through it joyfully knowing that the father’s deepest pleasure and purpose was being realized. He did not try to change or alter whatsoever He went through; He eventually died to Himself before dying on the cross. This is the same way He has prepared for us to go through if we must become one with Him in His death and burial. Death and burial is not what we confess with our mouth but an experience we go through in reality. In Luke 12:50 Jesus Christ said; I have a baptism to be baptized with…….He was not referring to water baptism because he had already been baptized in water, He was referring to an experience He must go through to become the first begotten from the dead. The death of Jesus on the cross and His burial is the reality of baptism. Jesus crucifixion, death and burial is actually what every soul must go through before entering into Glory; prior to his crucifixion Jesus said; my soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death (Mat 26:38), this is the perfect example of a soul preparing for death, the soul does not want to die and so when a man willingly surrender his soul unto death, he goes through divers sorrow, pain and sufferings. Just as the soul died to God in the beginning and became married to flesh and self, so also the soul must die to flesh and self and get married again to God. Death is the only way the soul can be free from the perversion of sin and corruption.
Allow your trials to put your soul to death, Jesus never changed anything until He died and was laid to rest. God was so pleased with His sacrifice and was drawn and attracted to His dead and buried soul. After two days of perfect peace and rest, the Glory of the father entered into his dead and buried soul and raised him up again. Hallelujah. This is the first time in the history of creation that God will find a dead and buried soul to resurrect, Jesus now became Christ (the one born by resurrection from the dead). The process God uses to put our soul to death differs, lets embrace and accept whatsoever he allows to come our way, don’t try to change or alter it; allow God’s eternal purpose to play out on its own without interference. Go through the death process, be laid to rest and God will be drawn to your dead and buried soul (Luke 24:26). The baptism in the Holy place is not the outer court baptism (water baptism) but the baptism into the Christ’s death and burial. Water baptism does not lead into glory; it is an outer court experience necessary for the fulfillment of the new birth.
A man who feeds on Christ will fall in love with death, eat Christ my dearly beloved and enjoy this precious meal from Heaven; he that feeds on Christ is abiding in His death and His death abides in Him.
b. Altar of Incense: The altar of incense in the old covenant is a type and figure of the sweet incense of prayer offered by the saints. The prayer of the saints is a sweet incense unto God, David said in the book of Psalms; Let my prayer be set forth before thee as an incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2). In revelations 5: 8 when the lamb had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Him, having everyone of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of the saints. Revelation 8:3-4 further declared that; And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayer of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayer of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Whenever the saints pray, they are burning sweet incense upon the altar; and as these incense ascend unto God as a sweet savour ; virtue, energy and life flows into the earth. This kind and quality of prayer is not the same as the prayer people offer to God today in our big cathedrals, this is not the prayer of deliverance, breakthrough, success, open door, financial prosperity, healing or fall and die, it’s not even the prayer of revival, evangelism, missions and soul winning; the prayer of the saints ascend into the Heaven, lay hold of God’s eternal vision for man and bring it forth on the earth; it’s a prayer born out of a perfect understanding of God’s eternal purpose; this kind of prayer focuses only on the eternal and never on the temporal, it’s a prayer that lay hold of God’s Most Holy life predestined for man before the world began. When a man has willingly yielded to the death processes and come to a point where the content of His prayers are only eternal, then he is burning sweet incense unto God and is about to move into the Most Holy place. The prayer of the Saints is the kind of prayer that births God’s eternal purpose on the earth.
c. Candlestick: (the mystery of the oil, fire and light of intimate communion with Christ) Exodus 25:3-40. Prophet Zechariah perfectly described the mystery of the oil, fire and light of intimacy in Zechariah 4:1-14. The candle stick is a type and figure of a man who have partaken of the cross of Jesus Christ (shewbread), and has been broken by death to the point that his prayers are only eternal (sweet incense). It also signifies the pure life of Jesus Christ every man must experience before entering into the Most Holy place, the candle stick stands for purity and that’s why its made of pure gold. Jesus Christ said; blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God (Mat 5:8). Only the pure in heart soul and body will see God in the Holiest of all.
The oil, fire and light of intimacy is the inward spirit system of operations in the life of a man who has been thoroughly purified by Christ; the oil flows within, the fire burns within and the light shines within. These inward spirit system releases a measure of divine energy into the earth. When Prophet Zechariah saw the vision of the two olive trees which through the golden pipes emptied the golden oil into the candle stick; the angel asked him, do you know the meaning of this? And he said; No my Lord and the angel responded, not by might nor by power but by my Spirit saith the Lord of host. God Spirit system of operation is inward and never outward, when the way of God is prepared in the heart and soul of man; then God comes in His Almightiness and all flesh shall see His Glory. The oil flows through the candle stick, brings out fire from the seven lamps and this Holy Fire lighten the tabernacle of testimony. The oil of intimate communion with Christ is an ever flowing grace that enables a man to be ever present in the presence of God.
It was this same oil that was upon Jesus Christ and enabled Him lived in constant communion with God. It was spoken of Jesus Christ in Heb 1:9; Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity: therefore God, even thy God hath anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy fellows. God does not anoint men for service; he anoints people for intimate communion with Him, every anointing that does not lead into intimate communion is not from God. Our service to God must be an act of God Himself flowing out of intimate communion with Him. God instructed Moses to anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them that they may minister unto Him in the priest ‘s office (Exo 30:30). To minister unto God is to live and abide in His presence, Its an anointing that will enable Aaron and his sons to become addicted to God’s presence, the purpose of the anointing oil is not for miracles, signs and wonders; all these things follow us naturally when we are addicted to God’s presence and have become God’s presence.
The fire of intimacy will keep the soul worthy to stand and live continually in God, God’s Holy fire is meant for our cleansing, purging and purification; just as gold is purified by passing through the fire, God’s Holy ones are also made pure by passing through the fire, if there is one thing you must love passionately, it is God’s Holy fire. Only that which is of God will survive and withstand it; everything not of God will be destroyed and consumed by it. This Holy fire produces light in the lamp and this Holy light releases a measure of energy into the earth.; when God finds a man who has become one with His fire and light, then he will be priest forever after the order of Christ.
In the Most Holy Place, there we find the ark of testimony, and inside the ark is the ten commandment, the manna and Aaron’s rod that budded. When the death and burial process is complete, the life of God resurrects in the body of man; this is the Most Holy life, the life of God Himself. Only Glory dwells here; on this Most Holy ground, self, flesh and death has ended, only God is alive and active. When Christ has perfectly purified the man in the Holy place, the Glory of the Father will raise him up and move him into the Most Holy place, as Christ was raised up from the dead by the Glory of the Father so also are we raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father to live in His Most Holy place eternally (Romans 6:4). All the content in the Most Holy place are Glorious, lets remember we cannot ascribe anything to Glory that is not eternal. There is nothing made, invented or developed by man that exists in the Most Holy place. The tablet of the ten commandment was written by the finger of God, the manna was daily prepared by God, Aaron’s rod that budded and produced fruits over night was an act of God and not man. In the Most Holy place, men live by Glory for they have crossed the line of the natural, human, mortal and earthly. Nothing is man made here, all things are God made; it’s a place of completeness and perfection. Silence and stillness is the order of life here, only God exists and speaks, man no longer exists and so have to be eternally silent. Only the ones who have resurrected with Christ can abide in this Glorious territory.
A man who has obtained grace to enter into the Most Holy place has moved beyond corruption ;Spirit soul and body; he has become eternally incorruptible; that which can be corrupted is dead and buried and now only incorruption exists, God will not suffer His (Most) Holy Ones to see corruption(Acts 2;27), God’s( Most) Holy ones are born after resurrection from the dead. The Most Holy place is the Home of all men, the end He has destined for all flesh .This is the life eternal He has prepared for all before the world began.
